Yay! Congrats! And I think your list of little issues is totally reasonable. I’d like to come out of the salon looking like a sexy, beautiful, thick haired model. Not too much to ask, right? 🙂

Not at ALL too much to ask! I don’t know WHY my hairdresser can’t seem to deliver just those little things.

Woo hoo. Look at YOU! Congratulations, Nancy. It’s a hilarious post. Isn’t a discussion with your hairdresser something like a pre-op assessment? 😀

Very impressive and funny! I clicked that thumbs up button so I hope that means I successfully “liked” it. One time, after giving my hairdresser a list somewhat like yours, she waved her comb and said “I hope you realize this is a comb, not a magic wand”.

I don’t know why they can’t use a magic wand. It’s what I need.

Super congrats on Huffington Post! However I’ve made the opposite choice – comfortable with the ‘salt’ vastly outnumbering the ‘pepper’.
I proudly sport my silvery tresses and get oodles of compliments on NOT colouring – including a photo shoot that ended as a small square on a large billboard for a popular hair salon. However I live in India and an oddity in so many ways – this is just one more!
As you say – confidence IS key and everyone should just chose what works for them. 🙂

I thought that when I turned sixty I would let the gray take over, but I just wasn’t ready. Maybe at seventy.

My great aunt still had her colour done at 100 so… to each his own!! 🙂

This certainly deserves a very nice piece of jewelry and maybe a pair of Lucky skinny jeans to celebrate!

I already have the Lucky jeans in every color… but you can never have too much jewelry.
