    • Thanks for buying it. If you like it, I would really appreciate a kind review on Amazon. I’m terrified of those mean reviewers.

  11. Nancy, this is out-of-the-ballpark awesome! I know you’ve got a great tale, just not how it ends. Guess I’ll have to buy the book 🙂 The cover is spot on. I’m so excited for you. Tell more! OK, so maybe it’s not the best day of your life but it’s one reverberatingly great Red Letter Day. Congrats!

  15. Reading on the Kindle…loving the book and marveling that this is your first. Very well written. And my most favorite part so far? The dog’s name is Carlos!! Such a ridiculous name and of course, our dog’s name also. Smile. (And our dog was named by a 16 yr old girl…so very appropriate.)

    • Thanks. I am very happy with the portrait. I had only two goals – to look as young as possible and to have my hair come out okay.

    • Thanks! I was hoping I would hear from you… how did you get the image of your books to show up on your homepage?

      Like

      • Just go into Widgets (available under Appearance) and drag an Image box over to your sidebar. Give it a title, and in the Image URL box, paste this: https://notquiteold.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/justwhatialwayswanted2500x1563-1.jpg (it’s the link to your book cover image from this post).

If you want the image to have a frame around it the way mine does, you need to add a caption. If you don’t want a visible text caption below your image, you can enter a period in the Caption box and centre it. The dot will still be visible centred under your image, but it’s not too bothersome. I prefer to put in some useful text like, “Click image to view on Amazon.”

Then you can fill in the Link URL box with the link to your Amazon book page so people can click directly there from your blog.

The sidebar automatically reduces the size of your image to fit, so if it doesn’t look good, you can tweak it to the correct size yourself and upload it again.

        Hope this helps!
